How to lower Alkalinity in a reef tank?

Pretty straightforward, Im at 14 dkh, how can I get it down?

My preferred method is to change to a lower alk salt and slowly bring it down with water changes.

The other way is to use hydrochloric acid (muriatic acid) or sodium bisulfate that you use in your new saltwater for a water change. I'd highly recommend not adding the above directly to your tank. Do this in water change water and slowly bring your alk down.

If you have corals, let it fall on its own.

My vote is also for water changes with a low alk salt like Red Sea blue bucket. It mixes around 7. Also it should come down on its own. Please don’t lower more than 1 dkh per day.
