My tank is fairly new with 2 clowns and 4 hermits. My ammonia levels are around 0.30. How can I lower that?? I tried a small water change but it didn’t really do anything.

Is the tank cycle? Add bacteria to speed that up. Dr Tim’s or bio spira.

we covered earlier/alternate thread you have no ammonia at those levels, its in the thousandths ppm but the testers you are using are misreading, cross reading due to presence of nitrogen species.
post pics for confirming details we can mention from the pic

though its hard to imagine, there are no reef tanks that partially control ammonia

they control it in the thousandths ppm, as evidenced by fish behavior, or they crash overnite due to inability of control and ammonia compounding.

pics will tell the tale.
