How do you maintain a steady temp in a longer tank? I can’t seem to keep my tank at 1 steady temp it’ll be 78 then it’ll be 76 I have the right size wattage for it I just want to have a clear head and my fish and coral are not dealing with swings

tank 33 long (4ft)
Temp watt 100

Sits in the display

i have a 75g and the heat is fine (same length as you tank if you didnt know) maybe move the heater under the filter outtake so it spreads more evenly

Simple solution would be two heaters. Set one a few degrees under the other, set on different ends. Then it'll help with the water temp and provide a backup solution.
I did a similar process with a tank that had a very small back chamber, ran two smaller than recommended and they kept it up to temp.

So one at the top of water and one at the bottom on other side of tank?

I have the coralife AIO protein skimmer and filtration with two power heads one rated at 800ish and the other like 1000ish maybe if I put the stronger one closer to the heater side and the weaker one on further side?

if that is a100 watt heater, it is too small.
as long as there is flow it doesnt matter where you put the heater

Probe in tank a glass measuring one that’s in tank also I stick a temp reader in tank once a day and a surface temp reader I’m paranoid
I just want to make sure that you've tried using the same measuring instrument on both sides of the tank - most thermometers are wildly inaccurate so you need to take calibration issues out of the equation
