How to make pest free chaeto

So. I want to get some chaeto and get a fuge going. I've got a bit of a coating of algae in my tank, but my 8% weekly water changes are keeping it fairly under check, along with my lawnmower blenny and cerith snails. Unfortunately, algaebarn is out of stock at the current time, and while I'm willing to wait it out until they get pest free back in stock, if I can implement something sooner I'd like to. It sounds like I might be able to do something like a really long freshwater dip with chaeto and that that might kill pretty much all pests including aiptasia? Could I do like, a 5 hour freshwater dip? If this would work, how long would such dip need to be?

i heard of people doing several hours of fresh water dip or few mins of quick coral dip and some fresh water rinse, but im not sure if this will be 100% disease free.

We should be adding more single chaeto today between 2-3pm MST. However right now we have the ultimate refugium packs available with chaeto. ~Shaun K.
