So I have the new Maxspect RSX and am thinking about trying to mimic the Ecotech AB+ schedule. The way I think I got it was really really blue, is this right?
The spectrums/channels I have to work with are:

Ch1 6500k Cool White + 455nm Deep Blue
Ch2 460nm Deep Blue + 480nm Blue
Ch3 400-420nm Violet + 445nm Deep Blue
Ch4 3000k Warm White + 665nm Deep Red

I tried doing ch1 23%, ch2 100%, ch3 100% and Ch4 23%

Looks right to me.

The ab+ schedule is about a 1 to 4 ratio if I’m not mistaken.

Whites greens and reds being the smaller value.

I mixed up a schedule for my photon v2 that mimics it, but I believe the highest I go on any channel is about 40-50%

Couple of problems with just trying to run the 3:! ratio.
Your Maxspect has 14 blue/violet LEDs per pck where the Radion G3 pro is at 10 blue/violet LEDs per puck . Not sure on the wattage on the RSX as I didn't see it listed on a quick google search.

Second issue is you have part of the white channel attached to the A channel which is a 50/50 mix of white blue. I would lower your B and C channels down to approx 70% to get a better ballance IMO.

Radion newb question.
Is there a visual graph of the a b colors ? And other settings? Curious.

The graph of the radions native colors on the site (1:1) , will grow corals just fine , I’m curious as to the mixes they reccomend.

Hey thanks!
I wasnt super impressed by the info on the site.

Perhaps I didn’t understand what you were asking.
I thought you were after their recommended percentages of the colors for the “ab+”, were you after a graph showing the spectrum? I did a bit of research into it a month or so ago, I could probably dig up all the references I found.

No sweat.

Yea the spectral graph. I found the native one on the website.

Not sure what this is actually. But it’s the type of graphs I was looking for.

Gotcha! Yeah, sorry. Not what you were looking for then. It says they’re based from the spectrum combination of ati t5 bulbs. Blue plus and aqua blue special.

Hehe, I just put Blue+ Bulbs in my T5 fixture. Done.

How do you like the RSX light? I seen it at macna this past year, looked sweet.

No worries! Thank you!

It's definitely an upgrade to the R420R. Colors are more rich and there is a lot more control over the spectrum. So far a month in and my corals seem to like the pre loaded SPS schedule but still wondering if the AB+ will help out more.

Bump to see if anyone has learned anything yet on these lights

Nothing yet but I did switch it to 70/90/90/50.

Thanks AdamNC. And you have a mixed reef correct? Are you happy with it so far?

Yea, mixed but heavy on the SPS. Pretty happy with it so far, steady growth on the SPS. It’s not near as blue as going say 25/90/90/25.

@AdamNC I know this is now very old, but how did it work out for you? I'm currently running the same lights, but with some diffuser paper under to control the disco effect. I noticed a loss of PAR (30-40), so I had to turn channel 1 up to regain what I lost. It's pretty close to what you're running now (or, then, I suppose).

I switch to this and so far the corals seem to like it. A wee bit too much violet for me but what ever makes the coral grow.

I just saw this reply back, sorry I missed it... A few months ago.

Still digging that setting? I'm running some thing something close, but with t5s in combination.

Still using and so far so good. I tried to up it ch 1 5% and ended up bleaching 2 millis. I immediately put it back to the last setting and they seem ok with it, no more bleaching. So they look faded pink instead of red now, slowly I know they’ll come back. Still have polyp extension. Everything else looks like it did. No3 was at 16ppm and Po4 was at 0.05 so it wasn’t a nutrient issue.
