How to move water with air pumps?

I know there's a way you can pump water from different tanks using air pumps. Does anyone know how to do it? Thanks.

you can pump water a very nominal distance with an air pump.... how much distance are you talking?

I was hoping maybe 3 feet horizontally..

Try the Aqualifter. It's a great pump that can be run dry without damage and it's reasonably priced.

I use an Aqualifter on my ATO. Works very well. However they will back syphon so you need to have the pump higher than its output or intake.

they shouldn't siphon unless you're ATO hose is in your tank...
