How to only kill aptasia

I like aptasia x, I found the key to making it effective isn’t to spread it all over the pest, but to approach slowly and make it think it’s eating the chemical. Slowly release and it will wrap around and consume the x. Then they die, but sometimes I don’t get it perfect and have to try later.

I have heard high powered blue lasers work

If your zoa colony is not glued down, I would take the whole thing out of your tank. Remove & carefully scrape any remaining aiptasia from that one spot and seal it with some super glue.

I have tried lemon juice, kalk paste, aptasia X, and peppermint shrimp all with mixed results.

This is the method I have found to be 100% effective against them. It sucks when there is one on a rock I just cant pull out so using gloves I glob up some super glue gel and using a toothpick smother the bugger with it. Then I come back in with some epoxy putty and seal it down with that.

Peppermint shrimp, or you can try peppermint shrimp and as a last resort try peppermint shrimp, I love mine!

Or you could pull it off with tweezers too, that would probably be safer
Never attack them with tweezers, they have a defence mechanism that will spit 1000's of babies into the water if disturbed. Better to use a natural method like Peppermint shrimp.

I used the aptasia-x tonight but it was kind of hard to as it seemed like it wanted to recede. I sprayed it all over it so hopefully I got it, if not I will try again.

Go really slow when using the ApatsiaX. If the Aptasia close up, just wait and hit them again in the center. Make sure all your power heads and pumps are off. Don't worry about getting it into or on any of the other Zoa's or corals. I have used it for years with no issues.
Be careful with the shrimp method if you try that route. Once they eat the Aptasia, some will feed on soft corals. I had to get rid of mine because of it.

The aptasia seems gone! I won't go the shrimp route if it comes back as I have 5 different wrasses in the tank. So far seemed to work though but only time will tell.

I use a syringe with a long needle. Fill with boiling water and squirt the aphasia. Might hurt some of the zoos but they grow back quick.

I've used Joe's Juice on the few I find in my Zoas and it works great. Doesn't seem to injure the Zoas just ticks them off for a day or so.

Oh boy, i shouldnt have! I pulled one of mine out with tweezers and now i have a huge one! I never knew they got that big! I guess ill be gitting myself a cleaner shrimp.

I kinda wanted one anyway.
