How to open RODI resin filter

I bought new RO replacements and I don’t know how to open this one or even if it can be opened. I have the 75gpd brs rodi filter btw

I can’t see so I can’t tell what you have a picture of. You mentioned a few different things. RO replacements, rodi resin filter. The brs rodi units have refillable di canisters. The cap unscrews from the bottom. The filters are separate and could be a sediment filter or carbon block. There is also a ro membrane. So, I’m not sure exactly which one you are trying to open.

Check the bottom like @Zzyzx said. If that is the resin filter you will know when it opens ( should be easy like a jar of peanut butter). You will see lil crystals (probably brownish goldish if it is old.)

If it is the resin you will empty that junk in a trash can or bucket. Wash it out good and repack the new stuff in there. I used an old bulkhead with a plastic bag over it today and it worked like a champ. You can also use the handle of a screw driver or whatever too. Just add, pack, add, pack, add in portions.
