How to Ozone my 300ext

Where would I inject ozone into my Diablo/Varios hybrid 300ext skimmers? I've always added a port to the air draw muffle, but this skimmer does not have a muffle per-say?

I suggest injecting as close to the venturi as possible. As seen here I spliced the short airline going to the silencer stack.

correct.....close to the venturi... do not forget to put a filter bag of carbon on the top of the skimmer to filter out the expelled ozone.

I use Kynar barbed fittings. I think it is 3/8 that I used. Similar to this on here from BRS: https://www.bulkreefsupply.com/ozone-resistant-kynar-y.html

I've been looking into using ozone with a skimmer. The ozone machine specs list appropriate air flow. The units posted are never the same as the way skimmers advertise airflow but the last time I did the conversions the classic 110ext was on the upper end of the recommended range. Perhaps you'd have good results using the 300ext but from memory it was like 50x or more higher than the upper limit recommended by the ozotech posidon 400 unit I was looking at. My understanding is that too much airflow will prevent the ozone generator from producing adequate ozone concentration. I would double check and make sure the generator you're using will be effective when paired with the 300 ext skimmer.

You will likely only need to run Ozone on one skimmer.

Ozone can cause some discoloration but will not harm acrylic. The majority of the Reef Octopus skimmer line is suitable for ozone use.

I really wish you all still made your Ozone reactor. After all this I may go with an Avast Marine Ozone reactor.

It was nice to offer the proper and safest way to use Ozone. It worked really well over the years.
