how to paint dry rock?

just ordered dry rock from brs, its not coraline colored cuz thats more expensive, so could I use acrylic paint and dry brush it on?

I wouldnt recommend painting the rock whatsoever. Aside from it looking bad after stuff starts flaking off, you’re going to end up plugging pores and reducing surface area for beneficial bacteria to grow.
