This what I do occasionally to mount corals. I do it in one step, however. With the plastic still warm, I put glue on the frag, then the plastic, and another blob of glue on top. Then I just press it into the rock. It adheres almost instantly.

I had picked up a container of the moldable plastic pellets awhile back. They would be perfect for this.

Use any epoxy stick like aquastik and same method. Make a memorable epoxy ball, fit it in place, then glue it to the frag on one side, rock on the other. Frag, glue, epoxy, glue, rock.

I feel like you used to be able to just use super glue gel but all the formulas changed, its like they film over too fast now.

Yes there are different types of super glue... I like the glue gel which is not too liquid. But you have to be as rapid as possible anyway

AquaMaxx makes resin balls that are purple and white. When they are heated they turn purple. I’ve used it to aquascape and it works great. I’m sure it would work for this application as well.

I do exactly the same. I use a toothbrush to clean the spot before gluing and press the frag, epoxy and glue sandwich in place. If I might be moving the frag at sometime I'll only use glue so it's easier to break free from the rock.

I've always used Aquastik for frags but I'm so tired of it making my skimmer overflow for atleast a week. It does work great though!
