How to place anemone

Aaaaaa the sucker moveddddd

Wow that is definitely a gorgeous ritteri! It's going to move until it finds the perfects location...they like the highest point in the tank and strong flow... Best of luck as that's a real gem right there

Mags look for the highest lighted location on the rock structure they're on, if you have a light that offers good coverage and can offer decent PAR to the depth they are at, they do not need to be on the tallest structure in your aquarium and will not wander off -- generally speaking of course. I would make sure the spot intended for it also has good flow, a healthy mag can take quite the beating. Mags are easy to keep where you want them if you specifically create a spot for them that meets both flow and lighting requirements. Unlike BTAs they shouldn't wander too much if you offer them those two things. Getting a healthy one is the hardest challenge, at least stateside, most of them require immediate treatment as they get infected during transit from the elevated ammonia levels.

Edit: Just to clarify, a mag will wander if it can touch ANYTHING other than the structure it's on.

Seems like he picked that spot. Any thing i should be worried about?

The anemone looks good, I'd be scared of it stinging my sps's there. I'd move one or the other. Awesome looking tank by the way!

Hello everyone!

Here are some updates with my ritteri.
I didnt feed it yet since it came and observe the tentacles are not as thick as when it came. Is it hungry??
My clowns are still in Qt therefore not able to move them in yet. What do you think i should do next and what is the cause of thinner tentacles?

very nice! how do these nems mix with rbtas in the same tank?

I have the same problem with my new, only difference is my tomato clown is about as dumb as a rock. My new was in a spot he was happy with but closed up for some reason, not sure. So my clown started digging in the sand trying to get him to open. All he ended up doing is creating a tunnel the nem fell through and now I can reach him, ugh

Disaster :(

Ritteri anemone moved when i was away. I just came back today everning and found trucks of my ritteri anemone on the sandbed. Skimmer overflow. Filter socks overflow. Anemone sitting on the wavemaker with haft the size and legs cut off. My yellow tang is dead on the sandbed stuck between rocks. And my hippo share the same fate. Nemos are doing okay. I only had 4 fish. 2 tangs and a pair of nemos. Inverts are okay.

What do you think happended? Water was clear.
