how to plumb refugium

I have a variable return pump to one main pvc pipe that returns to the tank. I have as much coming off that one main pvc return pipe (via pvc T connections) as I possibly can. Ball valve and gate valves are used to give further flow options. So far I have the following, all running off the main pvc return pipe: A recirculating skimmer; a BRS double reactor (carbon and PhosGuard); and a few 'future addition' ports, one of which will be used for an algae scrubber that will sit inside a refugium. (A sterilizer could also go in-line as well.) My pump is only a few months old, but I plan to purchase a back up pump. Since everything runs off of the one pump (at a low setting of about 13-15 watts), if the pump fails I can throw the new pump on at the twist of a union joint and everything is back in business within minutes.

Feed it in whichever way is easiest. My personal preference is to take advantage of gravity, so I feed mine from one of my tank drains.
