How to QT blenny or goby

I’d like to add a blenny or goby to my tank but first keep in my 20G QT. My QT is bare bottom with HOB filter.

I’m concerned that gobies and blennies need sand so I don’t want to stress out the fish. I normally only dose with API Melafix for a few days.

Thoughts please?

Maybe put like a open Tupperware or container full of sand in so the fish can go to the sand if it wants to.

We were warned against qt for them. Too stressful. Never have, and no negative results. Jmo.
