How to quick Zeovit

Hi guys, so i decide to switch from full zeovit to triton method due to busy works. Does anybody has experience how to transform without shocking corals much ( dominated sps)?

I think there is a BRS video out there on this somewhere can't really remember how much info there was but I remember watching it.

With any change to a system you want to do it slowly. I believe brs did the changeover quickly and ran into problems although I'm not sure what those were. Slowly start taking things offline, and start implimenting your refugium and do a series of waterchanges to get your levels where Triton says they should be and then do the core7 supplements.

BRS did the same move on their 160.

As I understand it, they did stress out their corals for a time. I'd expect a fairly major change in filtration would have some impact, anyway.

Two complete different system methods we talking here.
Zeo, ultra low nutrients as triton you will experience high nutrients if the refugium isn't 100% functional.
Many hobbyist crashed or partially crashed their system due to that.
I went from zeo to aquaforest over a 8 month period with success.
Now no water change at all and so now and then I drop some snake oil in there for the elements.

I know Zeo recommendsa water change, but if this is just about getting rid of the water change, just use ESV for dosing and add a few more drops of color up agent if things look dull.

My wife’s seahorse tank runs on Zeo and I’m too lazy to change her water so it hasn’t happened in six months. Corals look even better than mine some days.

Also another reason i want to switch is that i really dont like the pastel color from zeo after running the system for about 1.5 year. I am not sure if it is worth it to switch or chance is system crashed. Also ,does triton method give you deep looking color?
I really appreciate everyone’s input.

Want less pastel color stop using Zeospur and start using Pohls Xtra Special. I’ve never tried Triton, I’m just not sure it’s really all that different from anything else. If you control for all the variables you don’t really need water changes. Since I’m fairly confident I’m too big an idiot to successfully control for all the variables, I’ll keep doing the water changed to cover my butt.
