You mean alkalinity? You can raise it with baking soda as needed to counter excessive precipitation. You might need to check calcium too.
I’d ignore pH in new salt water.
Soda ash has a greater affect on ph than alk and visa versa bicarb will have greater affect on alk than phI keep my alk stable with kalkwasser. I left my new made rodi water with powered head off for 5 days and was told oh will be low. Mixed it with salt now and checked ph and it’s at 7.5.

Yes pump was off then added salt and turned on the pump.Wait, so you left the powerhead off in the deionoized water only? There was no salt mix in the water, it was just water? If so, that will have no effect on pH at all. Most people don't aerate or mix their RO/DI water at all. As long as you started the pump before you added the salt mix, the pH should be normal.
Is that what happened ? LolInterestingly, the pH of sea water at pH 8.1 mixed with totally pure fresh water at pH ~7 will have a pH higher than the starting pH 8.1. [emoji3]
Kaleaswer does a great job at keeping my Alk stable around 9.The pH of seawater is determined only by the alkalinity andcthe CO2 level. If the new pH is low after aeration, it is only because you have excess CO2 in your home air and I do not advise doing anything to the water to correct the pH.
