Need some help here. The PH in my tank has been relatively steady over the past three months, ranging between 8.1 and 8.3. Over the past three days, with the horrific smoke we've been stuck under up here, we've had to keep the windows closed and the PH has dropped like a rock - its high yesterday was only 7.94, and it's down to 7.75 right now. What are some options for raising the PH in the tank?

Man I am so sorry to hear that. I hope it gets better soon.

I use a co2 scrubber on my skimmer. It is seemingly doing the trick. Alternatively if you have a refugium try running that 24/7.

Don't chase pH.

Between the fires and the house now closed up, the lower pH is from carbon dioxide. Although considered low, at 7.75, you'll be fine. Once the fires are under control (and windows are opened) you should see your pH rebound.

And, if the house remains closed up, and pH doesn't come back up, (and fires have subsided), run a tubing line from you skimmer to the outside to suck in fresh air....that should help pH.

CO2 scrubber hooked up to the skimmer intake. Really quick solution.
