I think this is rightIsn’t that just reading the sodium that is in the tank due to the salt? What is your salinity at?
No it’s not an additive to the salt it is the salt (sodium chloride).Oh so if im understanding this. Sodium they are measuring is the sodium in my salt mix. Which means I should switch salts. Then? For higher sodium.
And that would be very high right? dang thats weirdWhat is your salinity at?
I would not worry too much about that Sodium number.... It's fine as is.
If your salinity is a bit low, raising it will also raise sodium a bit.
my last ICP test came back with sodium at 10444 mg/l.

Is there any issue in your tank that you are trying to correct? If corals and other inhabitants are happy then i am not sure it's worth chasing numbers.
Also double check your salinity measurement device is properly calibrated.
I keep it at 35 and recalibrate it every use. What's your refractometer/hydrometer/probe showing your salinity at?
Take a look at this thread
Thread 'ICP test consistently shows low sodium' https://www.reef2reef.com/threads/icp-test-consistently-shows-low-sodium.399616/
I think the op found thiers was low
What are device do you use to measure salinity and what do you calibrate it with? I would guess that your salinity is lower than you think it is, although probably not low enough to be detrimental to your tank based on your test result.I keep it at 35 and recalibrate it every use.
Ati with bulk reef calibration i believe id have to double check when im homeWhat are device do you use to measure salinity and what do you calibrate it with? Ok thanks brotherWhat was your salinity per the ICP?
Your sodium level isn't low and it isn't high.... its fine...
Your sodium level will change depending on your salinity level too.
if you want your sodium higher, you might just need to raise your salinity a bit if it's low.
if it's not low.... then I wouldn't worry about the Sodium number, as I said before, its just fine where it is.
The sodium level is not responsible for any issues you are having with your corals.
