How to raise your tank Salintiy

Hello everybody I'm pretty new to reef keeping let's get to it. My tank is running at 1.022/23 I want to be at 1.025/26 right now I switched out my rodi ato to a salt mix of 1.026 do you think this will work. Any input is greatly appreciated thank you

Hey there. Usually, if my salinity drops I just unplug my ATO and let it slowly rise. Once it's back at the correct gravity, I fill the sump back up to the normal water level with saltwater and plug in the ATO again.

+1 on @Sailfin11 answer or sometimes I'll take my ato pump and put it in a bucket of mixed saltwater until I reach the desired salinity level.

Thank you guys so all in all what I'm doing is correct as long as I monitor the salt going in every couple hours and switch back to rodi when I hit my mark

I would just top off with saltwater until you reach the correct level

Just like other people have mention, unplugging the ato is the easiest way. Just monitor and continue checking your salinity that way you dont go above the range levels.

I put fill a 5 gallon bucket with r.o. water . Add salt to the r.o. Mix very well . The salinity is hi . I add a little at a time to my sump , checking my salinity ,until i get 1.026 . I don't know if thats the proper way to raise your salinity . Please let me know

I would just top off with saltwater until you reach the correct level

This is a bit risky as a swing of 0.03 instantly could be very stressful to some fish, and definitely to corals and inverts
