how to re-use matrix seachem media

hi guys
i have some matrix seachem media that used before and keep dried for some month. for cleaning and opening all pores , should i sink it in vinegar? then rinse with RO water and sink it again with aquarium water for 24hour

You can get 5.5 gallons of it for $100 just toss it and use fresh. If you split it between you and 4 friends that is only $20 each and you would each have 1.1 gallons of it. Just look on amazon for seachem pond matrix same stuff just a little bit larger which also makes it work better.

If you really really want to reuse it, it's very similar to live rock structure. You should be able to follow the process for sterilizing live rock to start with dead future live rock.
