Hey everyone, so my Biocube 32 has been set up for about a month now and the only inhabitants are a cuc. Just a few turbos and hermit crabs. The thing is, I’m not happy with my scape. I feel it looks too even and there isn’t much depth. If I want to redo and arrange my scape using the rocks in the tank and MAYBE a few new rocks should I re-scape it outside the tank or in? I’m most likely not doing a full re-scape just adjusting the rocks and moving them. I just don’t want to cause a mini cycle so what is the best way to do this?

I stick my arm in the tank and move them around. I move the top rocks over to an open area on the sand and then adjust the base rocks. Just be careful to not sit a rock on anything. I have moved mine several times.

It is best to get the base rocks where you want them because after a while moving them will raise a real mess.
I like to do it in the middle of a water change so the water level is lower.

My tank has been set up for years, but I still move rocks around from time to time. I’m never totally satisfied with my aquascaping. FYI, Try not to bump the glass with the rocks when moving the rocks. i scratched my front glass once when I was moving a rock and lost my grip.

Exactly what @WVNed said. Adding a little dry rock shouldn't hurt anything, and now's the time to do it. If you do have to take any rock out of the tank, just don't let it dry out and it should be fine.

Ok thanks for the help everyone I think I will start redoing my scape soon following all your awesome advice!!!
