Personally I doubt it’s high. Which icp tester did you send too? Mine is always low

i used fauna marin

Carbon will remove some, if you stop the source though it should go down on its own very quickly. I would find that, maybe do some water changes. If its really that high its not from seaweed, probably one of the zeovit additives

From reading, it seems to me that most that don't dose it tend to have LOW Iodine levels on ICP.

This isn't really too useful but, since I also use Fauna Marin Reef ICP, I'll just throw out my results over last 3 ICP tests:
- 3/2023 ICP showed Iodine = 0.012 mg/L which is LOW per FM's recommendations.
- Was having some zoa issues so started dosing Seachem Reef Iodine at half the recommended beginner dosage on the bottle for quite some time. (Didn't help zoas in my case, by the way)
- 2/2024 ICP showed Iodine = 0.526 mg/L which is more than double your levels <-- Never noticed any issues with this, by the way.
- Stopped dosing Iodide, obviously (wasn't helping my goal anyway).
- 6/2024 ICP showed Iodine = 0.085 mg/L which is closer to recommended.

So, not sure why yours is high without dosing but I don't think that level is worth any sort of panic.

Some common salts (Instant Ocean / Reef Crystals) mixes up to 0.1-0.2ppm iodine, so that's not crazy high.
