My 29 gallon has zero fish, 7 blue leg hermit and a green leather coral that is growing fast.
The problem is the algae on the sand and lately the stringy algae. The hair algae and caulupera on the rock has evened out its growth rate.
My tank parameters have been even with 0 Am/Ni/Na, SG even 1.026, temp 78, Ca 375 and seems to be slowly dropping, Phos at .25 steady.
I just put in a phosgaurd bag to try to wipe out the remaining phosphate - maybe a factor?
I top off with Distilled water from the grocery store. Literally just set up my AWI tonight so RODI going forward. - Factor?
My tank is almost 2 months old so maybe that has something to do with it?
