How to remove bivalve from frag

What's the best/easiest way to remove a bivalve from a frag? I thought it was cool when I first noticed it 4 or 5 months ago but it's quadrupled in size and the hammer it's on is getting smaller and smaller as it grows.

I figured it would have died by now but it seems to be growing every day.

If jts under then just go with a razer blade, if jts on the plug or side pull it
