i am breaking sown a tank, but would like to keep the rock live for a future build. The rock has Green Star Polyps, Xenia, and green button polyps growing on it.

What would be the best way to remove these corals but keep the rocks live and advoid a lot of dieoff on the rocks (have some sponges I would like to keep alive also)? With the Xenia, should I put something on it to kill any left behind or use the Majano Wand on anything left on the rock?

I was thinking of setting the rock in a container of water and start scraping the corals off with a razor blade/bone cutters.

Have to just mention be careful with the green button polyps. They are, if not the most, very high in palytoxins. If you choose to scrape them (I'd avoid if I could) make sure you wear gloves and even a respirator and well ventilated area without other pets or people around when you do it. NEVER boil or bake them

Thanks for bringing that up. Yes, the palytoxin is an issue. I planned on taking all the precautions with the GBP :)
