I’m getting ready to change my aquascape and have a few frag plugs that are epoxied in place. I’m probably going to have to move them and was wondering what was the best approach from someone that has done it. I was planning on prying gently with a small flat head screwdriver or chisel. Thanks in advance for the input.

Yup that'll do it. To be honest most of mine will pop off with solid finger pressure alone.

To cut the hardened glob off of the plug, side cutters or bone shears work really well to get a clean flat bottom to your plug in order to reglue.
