How to remove Icecap Gyre 2K end cap

I am trying to remove the end cap on one of the cages of my Icecap 2k pump. I saw a Youtube video on how to remove it for the 1K and 3K, but the end cap is different on the 2K. I tried popping it off and forcing it off, but it will not budge. I am trying to see if someone knows how to remove it before I break it.

Did it just push out, or did you need to do something else? I’m about to do a deep clean and I’m curious.

It did just push out, but it took a lot of pressure. I watched the Coralvue video about the Gyre pumps on Youtube to make sure I was pushing on the right thing. One side pushed right out, but the other side was a struggle.
