How to remove shaft holder from Gyre?

I have an XF130 that I'm trying to clean in vinegar for the first time. I cannot for the life of me remove the shaft holder. I am trying to use a needle nose pliers on the left side as it shows in their instructional youtube video. Do I have to remove the bushing first? Any other tips? Just don't want to break the thing thanks!

Absolutely ridiculous on mine it is the opposite side than what is shown on the video :mad:

Well I got it removed thankfully.
