I am relatively new to reef tank. Zoas are growing crazy in my tank. I would like to remove some of them. What is the best way to remove them without harming other corals?

LOL... yeah... I'm having the same issue. They are growing in the sand bed, on plumbing and all over rock. They carpeted a bunch of rocks together.

I've been researching ways to slow their growth.

You can use a razor to separate them.

Hi!

Make the polyps close first to cut it on pieces of five polyps and glue it on a frag :)

Use gloves to handle the Zoas.

Nice tank!

I have been overrun with them too. Best thing I have found is surgical ear forceps from eBay or amazon. Grabs the buggers and peels them off. Get on it soon though, once you let them go it’s game over. I have literally thousands of polyps all over the place in my sps tank. Came in as a hitchhiker. Nothing short of a nuclear bomb now is going to fix my issue.

That’s actually a good problem to have lol. I just let them grow wild and just move them around sometimes. Nice colony u have looks great .

I have green Zoas. I wouldn't mind some other colors. I'm willing to trade a chunk of live rock with green Zoas in exchange for the same in another color.
