I've been using Red sea coral pro for a few months now and have dropped my nutrients way down in that time. I'm worried about getting burnt tips and think I may see the beginning stages of it on a birdsnest, so I will be switching to red sea blue bucket in the future. What is the safest way to lower alk to 8-9? Should I just continue my 10-20% water changes every week with the new salt until it gets down to where I want it or will this swing too quickly? (blue bucket is 7.7 and my tank right now is at 11-11.5 kh). Nitrates are at 3 po4 .04-.08.

Correct, continue your water changes with the new lower alk salt and it will gradually come down as you replace it with lower alk and as your corals use it up :)
