Wish I had some nice pics to show everyone, but unfortunately a rainbow chalice colony I recently bought hasn't been doing well since the day I got it
:(

I could use some help, every day more tissue recedes or flakes off of the chalice. I have no idea what to do to try and save it.

Friday: chalice acclimated and put in the bottom of my frag tank until I got home. I got home from school and moved it to a semi-shaded spot.

Saturday: noticed some bleaching so moved it all of the way down, shaded with some light under a monti cap. Contacted the seller; apparently these things need next to no light, should be almost completely shaded.

Sunday: Moved it to almost complete shade, notice tissue peeling off when the lights turn on. Tissue wasn't peeling off the night before, when the lights were on.

Today: same spot, more tissue peeling.

NH4 = 0, NO2 = 0, NO3 < 5, Alk = 8 dkh, Mag = 1475, Cal = 480

Please help, any advise is appreciated.

I have two rainbow pieces (rainbow crush and shockfire) and both have done well in unshaded spots under LEDs. Keep it in low flow. Doesn't sound good if the tissue is flaking off.

Thanks, this one is un-named I think...the mother colony of those rainbow chalice frags Gonzo has been selling. Right now it is in pretty low flow, and the flakes aren't even blowing around that much.
