Hi guys,

So I have a reefer 350 and its got a 5Gal/20 litre reseveroir as an ATO already. It lasts almost a week, but I was thining of getting a Tunze to give me more time between fill ups.

I still have plenty of space in the compartment on the right hand side of the sump. I was thinking of getting another 20 litre container for ro/di water, and have the tunze pump water from this container in to the main ATO when that water level drops. So an ATO for my ATO..

Anyway, I'm just not familiar with the Tunzes and am wondering can I do this with any kind of water containor or does it need to be a proper reservoir?

I cant seem to find anything online (I cant use BRS because Im in Ireland).

Would a simple container like below work?

thanks

If the pump will sit correctly on the bottom (and fit into the container), the Tunze will work fine from my experience. It doesn't have to sit perfectly flat mind you, but the Tunze ATO is designed to pull from the bottom.

Yeah it will work as long the pump goes in the container. My tunze pump is not "sitting" flat in the bottom of my ato container

ok thanks. Anyone know the width of the pump?

I could measure mine, but just read 2”. Only thing, just in case, the bigger the container, if a pump fails on, it dumps all of the makeup water goes in all at once. Rarely happens, but keep it in mind. I kept mine right about a weeks worth...good luck...
