How to set up this sump?

Hey guys I recently picked up this sump cheap for my new frag tank build. I was curious which way the water should flow. I figured water would drain into section “A” and return out of section “B” but the water level sticker has me confused. I plan on plugging the bulk head and just draining straight down into whichever section is correct.

Looks like A to middle then to B. B has slots.... making it the lowest baffle. The water level sticker is there to make sure you do not overfill that return section.

Okay interesting I was thinking the opposite
