I recently purchased a refugium and now im bout to set it up and need some input to get it done right and what to use.. I have some chaeto i plan on putting in there but was wondering what else I should use? I have a bunch of dry rock and some aragonite that I was planning on useing, but should I use those or should I use live rock and mud? Thanks for the input..

IMO, the bare minimum for a fuge is macro algae (chaeto) and light. For your size sump, I would add a little live sand/crushed coral for looks and some live rock for additional biological filtration.

i would put miracle mud in thats what i did and i have not had to administer trace elements in over 7 months and all my corals are nice and full and colorful. if you do decide to do that make it about 3 to 4 inches deep for de-nitrification.
