How to silence the drain tube ?

Let's assume this kind of drain between DT and sump:

how to silence that, without reducing the flow ? (in fact, I have to increase total gph)

If you have a gate valve and variable pump speed it will be a lot easier.

i have both, but i need to increase the flow, not reduce even more (i'm at the minimum for this pomp, the only thing left is to close the gate valve)

i'm at around 800 liters/hour on a 400 liters tank, I need more or less 2000 liters/h for my skimmer (and based on triton specs, i need 4000)

You won't be able to silence that without decreasing the flow. Sorry.

A simple open gravity drain like that can work, but it won't be quiet unless the flow is low.

There is no reason to match your flow through your sump to the flow on a skimmer pump. Not all water will pass through the skimmer, and the skimmer isn't anywhere near 100% efficient with the water that passes through it.

Is it just the 1 drain pipe, or are there multiple? What is the ID of the drain pipe?

It's all the same. The gurgling is too much water going down that style of drain, sucking air with it.

What is the internal dimension of the drain pipe?
I see Ultrareef recommends 2 of those for tanks over 300 Liters. Perhaps you'll want to add another one. That would definitely make the setup more quiet.

One of those drains is rated for 1000-1500 l/hr
If you want more than that you need more of them.

Recommended combinations:​

Aquarium up to 300 lit (80 US gal): 1x U50 OUT, 1x U50 IN​

Aquarium up to 500 lit (130 US gal): 2x U50 OUT, 1x U50 IN​

Any drain pushed to the max that mixes air and water will be noisy.
