Hi Guys, can anyone help me, i have a rose bubble tip anemone which is now around 2' x 2' x'2 and is getting so big its starting to kill other corals within the tank. The anemone is stunning and i want to keep it but i need to find a way to make it split to reduce the size of it. If it continues i am going to have to remove it from the system.

Does anyone have a way to get them to split or reduce them in size?

does anyone have a way in tank, the position of this one make it difficult to remove the main anemone from it rock hold

You can try and cut a small piece of the foot. That slight irritation could possibly force it to split.

Can you post a picture? I haven't seen a 2' bta before.

One of my rbta's split when the tank temp dropped to 72 (not on purpose). Didn't seem to affect any corals. The temp lasted for probably at least as day until I noticed. Or You could aim a powerhead directly at it to try to get it to move.

Here is a pic of it Lance
