Can someone tell me how they have has success splitting these? Can I pull some off the rock they are on and just stick them somewhere else on the rock?

I cut them off but expect a couple to die if its your first time.

Will they attach themselves to the rock by just sticking them on there or do I need to glue it into the other rock?

You can use a little super glue gel or put them in a hole but may take a few days for them to attach without glue

Is that a mushroom? There are a few ways one feed it a lot, 2 cut it in half, 3 sit back and wait for them to take over.

IF you are wanting to frag some zoas or any corals for that matter. please do some research and use precautions!! Some zoas can be toxic and cause irreparable damage. I am not trying to scare you away from anything, but do not want you to go into something blindly! if you are cutting/splitting them, do so under water, wear gloves, use eye protection, wash your hands.... be safe. Just an FYI

If I move a mushroom to the shade will it likely multiply quicker because it might move to the light?

Just a friendly reminder: When propogating zoanthids or any similar polyps, wear latex/nitrile gloves and eye protection. The palytoxin in some of these animals can maim, blind, and kill people.

I already cut one off the rock and put in in a hole In another Rick we will see if it grows it didnT open up right away maybe morning will be good luck

negative ghost rider....more than likely if you deprive it of what it needs it will slowly wither away and die or it will detach from whatever it's on and float around to somewhere else. Corals multiply when they are healthy enough to do so. Not because they are trying to get what they need
