Hi guys, I am just wondering on how I can start a mini 10 gallon tank? I have the tank, small filter rocks and some bahama oolite sand. This tank is strictly for a lobster I have in my current reef tank. The lobster has been a model citizen and is the star of the tank but I am afraid he is getting too big for my tank. (knocking things over a lot). So i decided to start up a 10 gallon for him. I was thinking of draining 10 gallons of my reef tank and putting it into the new tank with some sand and rock. Is that a good idea? Will the mini tank cycle at all with him in there? Thanks!

If you use a few rocks from the display in there you shouldn't have a cycle.

Tank won't cycle if you use things from your DT. Like stated above.
