Anyone have experience with a Nikon D600 and taking HD videos of their corals or reef tanks? Taking a few pictures here and there just doesn’t offer the full effect and I want to take a video of all the frags, colonies and our display tank.

Any advice on settings or filters I should use would be greatly appreciated.

Also, I did but some cheap red, orange, yellow filters off of Amazon but they don’t work well with my old Cannon or Iphone.

Thank you!

I forget if the 600 has a live view monitor or not. It's helpful
As a starting point. Set the color balance to its highest point 10k I believe. Set Asa Iso to 1000. Set apature to 5.6 and shutter speed to 1/50 Th or 24 or 30 Fps.
Look at the footage if it's still blue increase the white balance 14 20 k etc. or add the lightest orange filter.
If it's too dark increase the Asa.

BTW the gels only really work well with the actinics or led blues. Speriment with phone/gel first.
