How to tell when to maintenance rodi

I have only made about 300 gallons of water with my ro unit.
I am beginning to wonder how I will tell when it is time to swap media and do general maintenance.
Anyone have a video link or some pointers?

Color changing media will help with the resin. I think most people suggest replacing carbon block and filter every 5-6 months. The pressure gauge helps to know when it's time. The membrane is suggested to be replaced every 1-2 years, but a TDS meter after the membrane will help here.

The pressure gauge and TDS meter will give you a good indication. When your PSI on your gauge starts to drop, the prefilters are clogging and not keeping pressure to your RO membrane. RO membranes are generally good for around 2 to 3 years depended on how much water is being produced, but if you start to see your TDS creep up it may be time to replace the ro membrane. And if you get the color changing DI, I replace mine around 3/4 of the way brown Hope this helps

Not to hijack but what is the one related to removing silica? I had a ATI result come back and say to replace the cartridge because silica was high. I checked the previous test and there was a difference so something in the ro/di chain. Only a year old but I'm guessing at 210 gallons + a few water changes + ATO is is probably due.

Single bed anion resin will remove silica much better than normal mixed bed. You can put some anion resin followed by mixed bed in a single cartridge and that will work as well (that is what I do).
