For over a month I’ve had a coral beauty angel and a longnose hawk in quarantine. The hawk since the very beginning has been eating about anything, and even follows me and swims around when I enter the room. The angelfish, on the other hand, only grazes the algae, occasionally taking some mysis, and never pellets. It pecks at the pellets on the floor out of curiosity, but I’ve never actually seen it eat any. The large concern is that this angel won’t take to pellets any time soon, but instead go for corals once in the main display tank. I ordered it online, and expected a small angel, but this one is already 3”, which probably doesn’t make it easier to train it away from grazing a bunch. Is there a way to pellet train the angel so it avoids picking around too much? If it’s too difficult, which other processed foods would you recommend?
