How to trap a damsal

Good morning everybody,
So I have decided to return our damsal to LFS because he is a huge bully. He beats up on my clown fish and my purple firefish.

My question is, is there a way to trap him in a trap to catch him? That sucker is a hard one to catch.

I had a similar issue with my azure, what I ended up having to do was take all my rock work out (nano tank) so that I could actually get the net around to catching him, but it was an ordeal lol

I remember trying to catch mine! It was terrible XD I had to take out all my rockwork and chase him around the aquarium for a while. Pretty funny looking back on it now

They make fish traps you can get on Amazon that work pretty well....although you have to sit and watch them so you can close the door lol

We had to remove 5 from our tank but unfortunately it was easiest to remove the rock. Luckily we didn't have much in it at the time.

Do you have auto feeder? Sometimes damsels get in for food if they are hungry and you can then catch them with ease.

I install my fish trap without a door and leave it there for at least one week. Over that weeks period I feed from the trap. I let the flow pull the food out. I then stop feeding the tank for 2-3 DAYS! Then I install trap door. Add food and wait! It has taken me a few hours a night for WEEKS to get a few different fish out. PATIENCE.

I can't be the only one....catching fish with a hook!

So I caught little buster. I had to remove all my rocks. Took about 2 minutes after that but I did it. No more bully. When I returned him I ended buying a aiptasia file fish to take care of the last of the aiptasia.. yay
