Hello,

My 80G tank (with 40G sump) is currently experiencing a bubble algae breakout. It's not terribly extreme (yet), but I would like to prevent it from getting any worse. Might anyone have recommendations for how I can go about treating the outbreak? Thank you very much!

I would.manually remove them without popping. I have heard a lot of success with Vibrant Reef cleaner. You should check out the brs video on it

Vibrant. A fox face gets way to big for an 80g and not guaranteed it will eat it. Emeralds are good but they may go after your corals at some point.

I have a foxface in my 120 & a bi-colored rabbitfish in my 65g and both are "bubble algae hoovers". I tried vibrant and yea it worked on some of the algae but most notably killed my chaeto in both sumps.

Well cheato and algae are kinda the same sooo, cheato die off is expected. Luckily it’s very cheap or free to replace.
