How to treat ick for small fish

I have a pygmy angel and a jaw fish that have ick I want to treat them but last time I try to treat with copper on a pygmy angel it ended up dying so I just want to know what should I treat them with or what special precautions do I have to take

You could try paraguard. Are you using a qt or needing to dose in the display?

Qt I learned my lesson I bought a blue powdered tank and when I brought it home and put it in my tank I noticed it had velvet so all my fish got it so I am now qtimg from now on

Coppersafe works well with pygmy angels, but it sometimes doesn’t work fast enough when treating severe infections.
