I've had this plan in the works for a couple months, and I was finally at a point where I could order my clowns. I bought the ritteri almost a month ago and let it settle before adding any clowns.

Enjoy the vid :)

Love it! How many total clowns? Been thinking about something similar. Were all the clowns introduced together or did you have a pair already?

Love it! My next tank is going to be an anemone/clownfish tank. I saw the video for Melev's 60g cube and that decided it for me. Nice looking set-up.

That is one of the neatest clown/Nem videos I've ever seen. :)

Sweet video. Thanks for sharing!

Thanks Guys (and/or Gals, lol)!

Seriously, that was one of the motivations to try a mixed clown tank. I could have otherwise stuck with brood-mates, but I wanted a variety.

I was clownless for a couple months. I let the anemones settle first. 30 clowns total; a mix of mostly standard ocellaris, snowflake, onyx, semi-picasso, perc, a nearly naked, and my fave Phantom. I plan on feeding daily to reduce aggression, but I don't want them growing too fast, lol

wow thats an awesome video good luck keeping the aggression down with the mixing of species.
please keep us posted.
I've found the more nems the less aggression but i only keep Percs.

BEST OF LUCK!!

Keep us informed as to how it goes. I just put four in together and after a few minutes of nipping, they all settled. Was wondering if more could work too, you give hope!

Nice video Jay!! I'll have to come over and see them[emoji2]

I'm definitely going the ocellaris-dominated population helps keep aggression lower. There's a little tattering here and there, but I'm sure that's from them trying to establish a hierarchy.

That's AWESOME! Never seen so many happy clowns in one nem before!

Thanks. I should have a feeding video up soon.

More is always better with this sort of thing. Gluck with your experiment! I'm hoping for both our success.

Do I know you?? Haha... ;)

Looks nice but ones the clowns reach adult the main pair female will lock down the anemone and kill all the other clowns till there's only 2 left unless u got multiple anemones and its a huge tank where they cant see the other pairs sorry its a disaster in the making keep the 2 clowns u like and sell the others before they get killed

It's a good thing that I've been planning this a while :)
I have a green haddoni 12+" wide, 9 BTA's, a stubborn LTA, and a sebae (hopefully a crispa) growing. If need be, I plan to add 2 more big BTA's and maybe a gigantea if my friend ever gives me a heads up that his LFS has a good one in. Over half of the clowns are siblings, so that helps too.
Always glad to have an opinion; nice thing is that I don't have to agree with it.

that is soooo cute! and cool! I would love to have something like that in my tank - so much activity

sounds like you've done your homework

I've read as much as I could find, but not a ton of info on this sort of thing, so no guarantee that everything will go smooth, but I'm definitely trying to keep aggression down by having multiple hosts ready and willing to snuggle with the harem.

Probably not but I know where you live. Lol

Great video of them feeding.

You know roughly where I live, but not specifically...I guess the "glow" does give it away though :p
