How to turn off filter to feed

So I just purchased the aqueon canister filter and I don’t know how to turn it off to feed my fish and corals....do i turn the valve thing? Or just unplug the whole thing?

Unplug it. I used separate power strips. One for lights and one for pumps and filters so it was one button.

I use a DJ power strip with switches for each plug.

Do yourself a favor and get a one or two of these. Unplugging things becomes a huge PITA. Plus it's very dangerous when you got one hand in the tank or even just wet. Not to mention it's easy to forget to plug things back on. Each switch on this unit lights up making it easy to see what's on or off with a quick glance.
