How to us phosguard

I brought some phosgurad beacuae my phosfate are high and was wondering what do when it says

May generate heat on initial contact with water. Pre-wet by adding to a double volume of freshwater (500 mL water), followed by a rinse

Just needs a good rinse and you will be fine. I use it on my tank, check your phos before you add and then 4 days after. If its where you want it leave the bag in for a month before you change it out. If it isnt where you want it dump it and add fresh Phosguard

Do not rinse out in tap water due to the high phosphates in tap water. I use Distilled or tank water.

Exactly as RareEarthCorals said rinse well in ro/di or distilled water and it's good to go. I run it in a reactor with matrix carbon. Works great if used as described above.
