How to use dr. Tims?

Hey there, can someone give me a slightly more detailed guide to using Dr. Tims bacteria and ammonia chloride? I'm a little lost, starting with dead rock and live sand by the way. Thanks!

You should use the One and Only Live Nitrifying Bacteria in conjunction with the Ammonium Chloride solution. The Nitrifying bacteria will process the Ammonium Chloride and the cycle will be accelerated as the bacteria works.

although I'm no bacteriologist so take what I say with a grain of salt. This guy actually knows his stuff and is how I learned to use Dr. Tims.

When factoring in dosing keep in mind the displacement of the rocks and sand. I.E a 100g tank may actually only have 80g of water.
