How to use kalk paste for pest destruction?

Hi all,

I have a few Pseudocorynactis mushrooms which I want to get rid of, I am goin to try kalk paste but have never used this and wondered about the best way to go about it.

I have a large diameter syringe and pipettes etc but no needles so I was thinking I would make a paste using kalk and a few drops of tank water then smother the shrooms in it. Question is do I just smother them all with it and leave it for a while, if so how long? Also should I remove the paste after a set amount of time with a baster or let it dissipate naturally? I don't dose kalk but I understand that when people do they generally use it as a drip so should I be concerned about any sudden jumps in params from adding a load at once in paste form?

Tanks 90g with sump, I was originally going to live and let live as the shrooms look quite cool but I have seen a number of posts where they have stung peoples shrimp and fish to death so looks like they need to go!

They are predatory as they can get quite large, beautiful but your correct that they are not good to keep with small fish and shrimps.

Kalk paste is a good way to go with the powerheads off. You may want to run some GAC after to clean up the organics from them melting.

Thanks, any thought's on how long I should leave the paste before removing?
