Where do you put charcoal, chemi-pure and other similar products so that they get the water throughput needed?
I have a 4x8 acrylic box that I layer. Bottom layers are charcoal and chemi-pure in mesh bags, then poly filter pad, then pad on top that traps any detritus. I clean the top pad every couple of days. I have one of my return hoses dumping directly into the box and I have a filter sock over the end of the hose as mechanical filter. The overflow box also has sponge filters over the drains. All mechanical filters mentioned are cleaned every 2 to 3 days. The 4x8 box stands on legs so the water flows down thru it.
I use a two little fishes reactor for my phosphate media.
How are you using charcoal, chemi-pure and other similar products so that they get the water throughput needed?
